About Me

Gabrielle has been in love with fashion and performance from a young age. Her expertise includes a variety of dance styles, aerial arts, and prop manipulation.  She also thoroughly enjoys working “behind the scenes” producing, directing, and styling for print work, TV/film, and live performance.

Gabrielle grew up as a child in lively atmospheres exploring her tender adult youth in metropolises such as Detroit, Los Angeles and Tokyo. These environmental backdrops along with her cultural heritage as a Filipina-American greatly influence her global aesthetic which can be described as cultural, vibrant, sensual, dramatic and urban.

Gabrielle graduated with a B.A from UCLA’s World Arts and Cultures Dance Concentration. At UCLA, she was able to study under Vic MarksChen Cheh YuRennie Harris, and Susan Foster.  There, she also developed a fascination with Taiko (Japanese Drumming). Gabrielle felt it was an art form that truly unified movement and music. She also became fascinated with the wonderful community the art form fostered.

After graduating, Gabrielle traveled and lived in Japan. She moved to Tokyo, Japan to study Taiko at the world renowned Taiko Center in Asakusa Japan.  Her Taiko studies led her to garnering an apprenticeship/fellowship to study and work with Kenny Endo in Honolulu. After a year of studying and performing with The Kenny Endo Taiko Ensemble, she moved back to California having a desire to do more than perform as a Taiko musician.

Gabrielle went back to school and finished her P.D Certification in Visual Communications at FIDM. At FIDM she was able to pursue her desires to create visual art via styling and design. It was here she realized how much her passion for performance art fueled and inspired her visual art and vice versa.  Also at this time Gabrielle’s curiousness for all forms of movement led her to aerial and the circus arts. She began her aerial journey at Hollywood Aerial Arts with Terry Beeman. She has been lucky to also take classes from Womack and Bowman

Throughout her dance and movement journey Gabrielle has had the opportunity to be a part of an all female dance crew , The Syrenz, which performs all Hip Hop styles and Freestyle. She has also performed with groups such as La SirenesFire and Ice Entertainment, Wilderbe, and Lux Aeterna. Gabrielle has been showcased as an aerialist for Coachella 2015 & 2016, Lightning in a Bottle, Lucidity FestivalBringing Back Broadway 2015 as well as private events for Google, Playboy Mansion, LA Live: Dark Nights, and PooPourri.  Media credits include the Honda 2012 CRV Super Bowl Commercial with Matthew BroderickColdplay ft.Rihanna "Princess of China." , and Madden 16 Bollywood Promo with Dave Franco and Christopher Mintz-Passe.

In 2011 Gabrielle founded The Furies LA, a live performance and production company. She started the group with her collegues, having a desire to collaborate on artistic endeavors and express her artistic visions through live performance and fashion. She has since artistically led and styled the company on a variety of live shows and video projects. In 2015 she helped produce, style, choreograph, and perform in, their first Dance on Film project “The Furious Elements”.

“As a visual and performance artist I'm extremely grateful to be continuously inspired by a variety of unique characters.  Although keeping up with the trends of society, I thrive on discovering the possibilities of what lies beyond the trend. Let’s create and express together!”
